Age of Celebration

They say age is just a number. But for adults 60+, we’re calling it the Age of Celebration.

Nearly 500 people showed to celebrate in style at our Aging Services Fair on May 30 at the Robert J. Mohart Multipurpose Center! There were lots of health and wellness vendors, resources for aging in place, exciting activities, live music, guest speakers, a photo booth and fun!

Event Highlights

Over 80 community agencies that provide resources for healthy aging.
Onsite health services: vaccinations, A1C testing, blood pressure testing, grip strength testing, cholesterol testing, primary care referrals and more.
Medicaid and Medicare counseling.
Workshops on caregiving strategies, navigating primary care, beneficiary deed assistance, identifying scams and fraud, adaptive exercise and more.
Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program.
Live music from a local band, Stranded in the City.
Photobooth provided by Photobus KC.
Lawn games.
Small bites provided by local food trucks: Taste of Potosi, Off the Hook BBQ, Bee Rays.
Raffle prizes, including gift cards, swag bags and gift baskets.
