Developmentally Appropriate Technology Use in STEAM

Training Description

This hands-on training is part two of a five-part STEAM series for early learning educators. It can be completed individually or as part of the full series. Participants will explore three developmentally appropriate technology-integrated activities that build inquiry skills, support classification and observation, and connect children’s real-world experiences to academic disciplines through interactive media. The session draws from tangible activity-based lessons and NAEYC recommendations on media use, helping educators use technology as a tool for engagement, not entertainment. Activities are aligned with DRDP Cognition indicators and promote joint adult-child learning, reflective dialogue and book-based exploration.
