This is a 2-day management-level course that emphasizes the unique aspects of response to an incident occurring during a sports/special event, including considerations for business continuity and after-action activities. You will learn the skills necessary to effectively manage an incident by applying and implementing a multi-disciplinary management team approach as described in the National Incident Management System (NIMS). At the end of the course a practical application exercise can be customized to the facility where the course is held.

This eight (8)-hour course is locally developed by regional police officers and tactical medics. It was developed for regional first responders who will be exposed to and then asked to demonstrate techniques related to countermeasures when engaging with motivated attackers. This instructor-led training will start with classroom instruction which will build to demonstrated techniques and end with practical application scenarios involving simulations. Travel costs are not provided.
