Give 5 Volunteer Matching

Mid-America Regional Council is the proud coordinating agency of the Give 5 program for Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in Missouri. Give 5 is a feel-good, social engagement program that connects skilled, passionate retired (or otherwise have the time to commit) older adults with meaningful volunteer opportunities at select nonprofit organizations.

Volunteer through Give 5!

Participation in Give 5 requires commitment to five day-long classes and nonprofit site visits, three to five optional evening networking events, and a graduation ceremony, all spaced throughout April–June of 2023. MARC’s 2023 Give 5 program will focus on connecting participants with nonprofit organizations that work towards a healthy, vibrant and age-friendly Kansas City.

Each Give 5 class experience allows participants to learn about public and community service trends, “taste test” a wide variety of volunteer opportunities and find a role that matches with their passions. As a part of the Give 5 classes, retirees meet new people, find camaraderie and friendship, learn more about their community and have fun! Participation in Give 5 is free of charge and lunch will be provided each class day.

We are currently recruiting participants for Thursday or Friday cohorts beginning this spring.
