Recognizing the critical role 911 dispatchers and telecommunicators across the Kansas City region play keeping our communities safe, the 2025 Annual Telecommunicators Appreciation Celebration and Outstanding Performance Awards will be held at Overland Park Convention Center in Overland Park, Kansas.

MGT 467: Sport and Special Event Public Information and Emergency Notification course brings planners, operators, public information professionals, government, public safety, and marketing professionals together in an effort to prepare and/or enhance venue and event communication programs. The course prescribes best practices to common communication pitfalls and provides flexible and scalable solutions to a wide-range of scenarios. The training leverages a combination of exercises, discussions, and activities to optimize participant experience.

All PSAP personnel are encouraged to attend and participate in committee activities.

Join us for an interactive virtual tabletop exercise (Operation: Stronghold) focusing on our regional, bi-state community-based organizations and their ability to activate plans, protocols and procedures during an armed violent incident.

There is no cost to participate in this exercise.

A light breakfast will be served during networking at 8 a.m. The program will take place from 8:30 - 10 a.m. There is no cost for this event, but your registration to attend is requested. The program will feature a Communities for All Ages award and a presentation from Urban Land Institute Kansas City over their Technical Assistance Panel process. 

The Mid-America Regional Council Emergency Rescue Committee, commonly known as MARCER, promotes regional coordination and cooperation in emergency pre-hospital care for metropolitan Kansas City.
